Travel Diary: Home
A few weekends ago, I went home to Canada for my mom's birthday. It was a treat because I don't get to visit often. I so desperately miss the smell of wet sand, the sound of the waves, and the feeling of sun-warmed skin. This was a magical place to grow up. Even though I've lived in big cities for the last six years, I still feel at home on the beach. Every time I drive up our dirt road, it feels like exhaling.
My mom and I collect driftwood and pieces of seaglass (and we covet the blue and pink pieces--so much so that I have to hide them when she visits my apartment). I'll brainstorm some ways to turn our haul into crafts!
