Crafternoon

This is definitely not a 5-minute craft--we spent most of the day on this sucker! Making a mosaic from scratch is pretty labor intensive. First, we shattered the tiles and glass with a hammer (and some fancy tools, but those felt less delightfully demolition-like). Then we applied each piece to the sphere with some adhesive. (Once it dries, we'll have to grout it to fill in the little cracks.) But it does look pretty groovy, and it will add some nice sparkle to the backyard garden. Just remember to don some safety goggles when you're shattering those tiles.
