It's a craft. It's a snack. It's perfect.
This white-chocolate wonder is a great treat to have on hand for a New Year's bash. (It's also a thoughtful way to respond to an unexpected gift when you didn't purchase something in return.)
You'll need:
- 2 bags of white chocolate chips
- 1 14-oz can of condensed milk
- 1/2 cup dried apricots
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
[Note: You could substitute milk chocolate chips and switch up the add-ins--I bet that papaya, pineapple, and walnuts would be a refreshing twist.]
Make it:
- Cover a 8' square baking dish with foil; set aside.
- Melt the white chocolate and condensed milk over low heat until combined.
- Remove from heat. Mix in sliced apricots and dried cherries.
- Chill until solid (at least 2 hours).
- Store covered in a cool place.
I toted my batch to my family's Christmas gathering in Toronto. Pretty Martha Stewart gift boxes made great packages for individual servings. Yum!
