I swooned over this bell-jar scene that graced the cover of the October issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It's a great quick craft. I couldn't wait to recreate it with a few whimsical touches!
Here's my creation:
Here's what you'll need to make your own:
- A plate or gardening dish
- A bell jar or cloche
- Small pumpkins or gourds
- Little figurines
- Leaves, flowers, moss, or rocks
I scored my cloche at Your Nesting Place, a cheerfully-curated shop in Milford, MI. I also picked up a tiny gnome bud vase. I toted a gourd back from a recent jaunt to a cider mill, and perched a feathered friend from a long-ago holiday market on its stem. I added a wooden coaster, a fern frond, and a freshly-fallen leaf to round out the vignette. The best part? It's a work-in-progress. I can't wait to gather new items to add to the mix.
