Spotted: Bright Blooms

I think I'm a pretty low-maintenance friend: to be a pleasant person, I just need some donuts and a little fresh air. But there is one habit in particular that drives my friends crazy: stopping every three seconds to snap photos of plants. Sorry that I'm not sorry, guys. These are too pretty to pass up!

Loved the way this lone coral rose popped against the putty-colored aluminum siding and thorny bramble.
These fire engine-red geraniums really stand out against the distressed white shutters. I did a quick double-take: this Parisian vignette had me wondering if I'd left the West Village and ended up in expat territory. (Nope--if I was in Paris, I'd be too busy eating Nutella crepes to notice anyone's flowers.)

This Gowanus backyard is unkempt in the most charming way. (Full disclosure: Jason plucked one of these flowers for me. I knew I liked him.)
