The second-best? Delicious twilight--that time when light is diffuse and the air's a little chilly and your skin feels flushed and your eyes are a little glassy from the sun.
I snapped this photo last summer in Ft. Greene Park. The light reminds me of Steichen's moody photo of the Flatiron building, and there is something a little melancholy about the last few minutes of sunset, when leaves and buildings are cast in stark silhouette. Let's relish every sunny day, ok?
