Second Chances

This is the carnage that I witnessed on Monday morning:

It wasn't pretty. Apparently our building turns off the air on Saturdays and Sundays. By the time I waltzed in two days later, my little fittonia was pretty downtrodden.

Some dudes in suits cast me pitying looks as they strode by. "Looks like that one didn't have such a good weekend, huh?"

Yeah, the plant was floppy and generally pathetic. But with a deep watering and gentle pruning, this guy sprung back to life! He's tougher than I thought. (And yep, one of the Suits commented on it as he headed out for the weekend.)
