When it comes to party planning, I have an unfortunate tendency to focus on the swoon-worthy details, not the big picture. (I have been known to start crafting cake toppers even before sending out invitations.) I just like to get my craft on.
But when we hosted our first BBQ in our new backyard, the food was a no-brainer: hotdogs, baked beans, and lemon icebox pie.
For once, decor was a little trickier. It was a casual daytime get-together, so we wanted something festive, but uncomplicated.
These garlands were perfect. Cheerful, breezy, and super simple. (And not so precious that I would have been devastated if they'd been destroyed in the forecasted downpour that never materialized. Let's be honest--I would have saved the pie. Priorities.)
